I have the normal srs app and that has my name listed but the sim racing service website,I can't log into.
I'm confused.
I Assetto Corsa site hasn't been muchhelp and the SRS site,well I can't log in.
Owell I can still race without this app so no biggie.

I have ofcourse read the rules first, but still the full name thing kinda bugs me alittle...
I currently use RSRLive and a quite happy with it, but ofcourse i would like to try this new toy as well.
I have a few questions and i understand if you can't answer, but i'll appreciate anykind of answer non the less :) and if you can't brighten me up, then ill ofcourse ask on the official AC forum about it.
Well,
1: I ofcourse use my Nickname as my surname on RSRLive website, will it affect my RSRLive app if i decide to change my name so i doesn't fit the website anymore?

I am not entirely sure if this app had the same deal when registering, that you need to use the same name on the website when registering as well as ingame AC.
2: Can i have both SRS and RSR Apps running at the same time? Would be awesome..

1: RSR and SRS (I know... confusing right?) are different apps/services. One tracks your times, car/track combos and assists (RSR), the other one is an MP focused matchmaking of sorts (SRS).
If you do not want to put in your real name, don't register with it... or... if you do not accept the terms and conditions, do not use their service... I guess...
2: Yes you can! I'm running both of them.

Naa the issue is not using my real name, i'm not so afraid of that honestly, so i'll probably end up using my own name to make things more easy to remember in length :)
Either way i'm also the type of guy who only uses one Nickname ;) almost 15 years with my Nick now ^^

etc are not allowed I believe.
Humm.. are you sure? in that case ill probably use Rawex DK, but that looks very much similar to a "nickname" and not a real first/last name.
I am not sure if that means anything to the developer and for what i understood on the AC forums some people had their accounts suspended, because they used their nicknames.
I cant say how they wrote their username, probably forgot the lastname maybe and thats why it got suspended, or maybe its because it resembles too much a nickname and not a real name.
Maybe this is something i should ask on their AC Forum Thread.
EDIT: It doesnt seem like he removes suspended accounts either, maybe he unlocks them for name change, or maybe he just dont want people who cant read properly or obey to rules playing with his app, suspending accounts for good.. (i have no idea)
Double EDIT: If no one has an answer to this, again i understand and will move my question to the AC Forum Thread and i will come back and share the response i get here.

I knew that i had read something similar to what you're saying, but couldn't quite find it in the FAQ and wasn't interested in re-reading the whole thing over again at that time.
It might be worth mentioning this quite important "find" piece of information up OP, for anyone new who will read this thread in future.
This in short actually means that he WANTS, ASKS, of people to use their real names, to make everything much more simple.
Both for Assetto Corsa Support Team and him as a developer for his app, in case of if he will ever need a reason to give out important information on a certain someone to the AC Support Team. (which i doubt he will and him too probably, but still it's never too bad to be alittle more safe, i can understand him on that part, if this is the case. Or maybe it's just me speculating too much)
It actually stands quite clear in the AC FAQ Game EULA, Terms of Agreement, that if you show too much disrubtive behavior, they behold the right, to cancel your right to play the game, total banning your account from ever playing/using the game again on that Steam Account.
(In addition to what i said above: I read the Game EULA when i purchased this game when it showed and wanted me to accept it on my first install, playing session, but i purchased the game a very long time ago and my memory itsn't the best lately.
I also read the Project Cars EULA, so my dilemma is that i am not quite sure if i'm mixing the two together, AC EULA and PC EULA. )
Well, luckily i don't mind, so i will probably just sign up using my real name, but it's great to finally have it fully understood ;) Case fully closed heh

I actually have a question maybe.. sorry.. but maybe getting this answered will also make things easiere for new people and rookies.
To my knowledge this requirement of using "your real name" is really ONLY required when you play on a selected server through his app?
(A server you sign up to and join to play in via using the SRS app)
So doesn't this mean that we can switch back to our usual usernames exactly after we finished the race and are going to play more on "normal MR servers" Right?
