Can I get my save from the Steam demo? Yes, but sadly it has to be done manually, gamemaker doesn't allow to mess with files that aren't the ones that the current game uses. To get your save into the full game you need to check your Appdata/Local folder and take the files from the "NightmareZappingDemo" folder to the "NightmareZapping" folder.
