Game pad support?
I'm under the impression that this game supports game pads, but I can't find the selection to register one. The control mod menu doesn't register pad movements and I can't find anything that says "turn this thing on". Where should I be looking?

I had no problem with gamepads, but as you see, there is no clue how to turn to gamepad on or off. Try the x360ce or XPadder program. I will workaround Directinput gamepads to work with XInput drivers. My both gamepads with Xinput work fine. You can try it.

In the Aquaria game folder, there is a AQConfig.exe. Run that, and there is an option to enable the gamepad.

Thanks, pyro_guy7, that did the trick.

I didn't see a selection for the controls in the options menu, which is what led me to make this topic. But if it's right in front of me, all for the better when I actually get around to booting up the game again.

90% sure the in-game options won't enable gamepad, but I'm glad to know it works through AQConfig. Thanks pyro_guy7!

All of the tutorials still have mouse and keyboard stuff.

Oh well, gotta figure it out.

Just a reminder that you will have a really hard time composing a song using a controller.

Controller = Swimming is great with a controller.
Composing a Song/Changing form = Keyboard is easier, if I remember correctly you have 8 notes.

This game is played with K&M.

"This game is played with K&M"
A bit subjective, right? Like, if this game really is not that good with controllers i'll end up not buying it :/

I dare say a higher percentage of people own this game not on it's own merits, but rather due to indie bundles. It's been included in at least three by this point.

It seems like it was made for a controller. I was just looking how to turn it on. Thank you.

My xbox controller doesn't work! :-\ i have x360 wireless, set enable gamepad in config.. but doesn't work! Some suggestion?
Try compatibility mode too...

FIX IT : if you have another joystick, like hotas, you have to set favorite your x360 controller in control panel :-) Now work!

I first tried this game with my Xbox 360 pad (I can't remember having any difficulty getting it to work). It's quite clumsy to control with a gamepad though. I initially was under the impression that the game seemed like it was made for a controller, however after switching to mouse control, it feels far better (and as far as I can tell, you don't even need to use the keyboard at any point)

Playing this game with a gamepad is fine, except for one thing : is it possible to reach the "Cook" Button in the recipes menu ? I can't get to it without a mouse...

Thank you.
