Also if their homes or the trip to gather supplies is long this affects the time they have to work in the fields as well.
dont matter when they are built but just know they will only get worked (planted in spring)
As for gathering issues if the nearby barns are completely full they will have to walk further to empty their crops. Don't forget that having farmers and laborers should help speed this up since the laborers generally take the stuff to storage allowing the farmers to harvest more. Building stone roads is also a huge improvement since it allows the villagers to move much faster than over dirt roads further increasing speed.
thought it was a bug.
Many Thanks

I'm going with the idea that your study is based on your own observations? I'm only asking because I have a link to a crop sizer that suggests the best yields come from a 11x11 size crop with one farmer. using that standard my yields have greatly improved.

But everything in your guide makes sense - based on real world farming issue.
And I have noticed the "Good years" and "Bad years" cycle with the crops, only recently have I heard that the 'Fallow Routine' is NOT a feature.
Now I gotta review a new growing pattern...
Well, I ain't here to just eat popcorn.
