Game keeps scrolling down

I need help. I undersand its something with my computer and not only the game. it has happened with other games as well, but mostly when i play banished.

When i try to go on settings or other in game things that you need to scroll down it just scrolls to the bottom by its self and the game wont let me scroll back up! it just scrolls back down on its own.
In the beginning i thought it might be the mods crashing my game, but after uninstalling the game and installing it again, removing all the mods it keeps happending.

Is there som kind of setting or something i should use to make it stop.

I play on my laptop(windows 10), the computer is relativly new, nothing wrong with it, I have lots of space left and works great with everything ells.

please help me understand what is happening.

You could try the 'software mouse' option.
If having trouble getting to the options menu then when launching the game hold Ctrl down (keep holding until after the Steam 'Preparing to launch' window closes) and it should pop-up a little Banished launch menu where you can alter settings.

A mouse resting against the bottom edge of the screen will scroll down continuously.

It's happening to me too, and no, it's not a cursor at the bottom of the map. Really??

The glitch occurs when there's a scrolling list (like at the trading post) or a text box with more than a page worth of text (like in help), and makes it impossible to use those features. Autoscroll just kicks in with zero help from my touchpad or keys. Restarting the game fixes it temporarily, but it just comes right back after a few minutes. It's maddening enough to quit playing completely.

Have you tried the "use software mouse" option, or switching from windowed mode to fullscreen (or the other way around)?

I think it may be the windowed version that causes this. I know I had to deal with it a long time ago, but, well, forgot how I solved it. However, I do play on fullscreen only these days.

no controller plugged in and no ALT+TAB while hitting scoll keys (key stuck hit that key again)

Maybe some keyboard/mouse sensitivity.

Example: When the battery charge on my wireless mouse drops below a certain threshold, my mouse cursor dances all over the place.

I change to a fully charged battery and the problem disappears.

Having the same problem. No mouse, nothing plugged into any laptop ports.

I deal with my scrolling problem with this method: Before going into a menu that scrolls (such as the trade building), PAUSE the game. Then go to the menu, it scrolls. Zoom in (for me, "pinching" the touchpad) and keep doing that until it scrolls up. Then use like normal. When you exit the building, you'll be zoomed all the way in. Unpause and zoom back out as you like.
