Have to enter Ubisoft password every time I play
So, every time I launch this game, I have to enter in my log in details for Ubisoft connect. Is there a reason why I have to do this each time?

first off, it is called ubisoft connect. There is a way to setup the ubisoft connect to remember your password. You will need to set it in the ubisoft connect settings to do it.

Connect does remember my log in details for other games I've played, so I don't see why I need to enter it in each time for this game only.

This is intentional on older titles for "security" reasons[1].

[1] As always with DRM, just to annoy legitimate owners and restrict them as much as possible.

Ah, ok. So more modern games won't have this issue.

Annoying, but it's not like it prevents me from playing, or causes any bugs/glitches for me. Oh well, just something I have to live with I guess.

It does the same thing if you bought the game on Ubisoft Connect

This new drm feature makes it impossible to launch the game on my steam deck when not on a WiFi network which is why it has single handedly forced me as a owner of the game who bought it on launch to resort to piracy
Any updates?

Hi Doctor Hentai! I do apologise for the inconvenience of having to re-enter your password when launching your game. This is a security measure in order to play some of our legacy games (https://ubi.li/eeQOu).

Hi Mr. Ubislop developer, I have played tons of other games and I have never seen companies do this. When I start my PC and open Black Flag, even if I am logged in to Ubislop Connect it asks me to “re-enter” password. Why do you have to make the life difficult of legit players? No wonder your company is going under. :er_angry:

This is not only unnecessary, it is anti-consumer. It needs to be removed.
