choppy gameplay

hey all. i am running on default specs with Vsynch off and nvidia 3d set to adaptive but every 3 seconds at most game freezes for half a second before letting me do another action.

running a gen8 i7, 32gig ram, GTX1070 (old i know but more than enough for this game) and have heaps of spare storage to run game.

any tips to get game to a decent frame rate to actually be playable? this is woeful and not viable

Disable PhysX. It seems broken in this game, so if you disable it you'll be able to play with stable FPS, no problem at all.

what i found is the UPLAY launcher creates 2 useless services when it launches. meshplay and some UPC.exe thing. NFI what they do except burn GPU cycles and eat up ram. i killed them both and bam game is SUPER SMOOTH now. no screen tears or stuttering at all.

looks like the launcher has bugs in it impacting old games.

How do i disable this

have to load task manager to kill them, but worth noting this was MANY years ago. ive updated OS a few times so not sure can still be done.
