But yeah, I agree, those tail/eavsdrop missions I kind of bungled my way through most of them.
The tailing missions are part of the what makes the game great. They are challenging, but the game has a little bit of everything and the variety they provide is a good thing.
This game is far from perfect. It's inconsistent as all hell with the tailing missions, both on and off water. Had plenty of moments when Kenway didn't want to assasinate a guard and instead walked right past him, triggering combat, which he doesn't even enter half of the time untill I receive a sword in the face.
Not to mention all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ glitches concerning the climbing mechanics that haven't been changed since the inception of the Assasins Creed series, which granted, aren't such a "big" issue in this game since 90-95% of the time you're not climbing in cities but rather sit on the water with the boat. That however, doesn't excuse the poor implementation and the lack of fixes on that department.
Yeah, the parkour was a bit glitchy, but it's not all that bad.
In Unity they improved the parkour a bit, actually quite a bit. However, that game has nowhere near the gravitas this game has. It has nowhere near the story or depth this game has, nor the character development.
