Also try to hit with a mortar as your first attack move.
I also didn't realise that the broadside cannons were just a LMB click to fire. When you use the RMB + LMB to fire, that is just the small shot that you are firing. I didn't work out that until quite a way into the game !!
But I have beaten a level 60 man-o-war as I have it in the Kenwood fleet.
Oh yeah, that's the name.
And there you go, that's something else I've just learned - that is shows the remaining shot count. Thanks, I'd obviously been too busy fighting to notice that !!
Well, the difference between wanted lvl 2 and 3 is quite steep. On wanted 2 you get a Brig and a schooner as consort. Which are quite easy to take down, the Schooner is one chain shot and the Brig is ramming it and then a broadside. On wanted 3 that's a brig, as a consort to a Frigate. Lvl 4 is a Man-O-War with a Frigate as consort.
Not really a great joy finding that out when you're just messing about and not getting any hunter ships -.-
Already searched for two. The 2 Man-O-Wars sitting next to each other, left them alone, and then the ramming one which was pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up because of how fast that one is, couldn't even outrun/ship it.
