Depend on 2 things. What is your monitor native resolution and what is your graphic card capable of? vsync usualy good idea when your monitor are low res so it can adept to the tearing ingame if it can handle it together with your graphic card. Do you use an nvidea card you can set that in the APP from nividea there.

Your global setting should not be on fast.

lock to frame rate to the HZ of your screen. If it is 60Hz, lock the Frames to 60 or 59.9 OR try with the double, 120. This doubling works good for me in many games

Fast is for games that you get double the refresh rate of your monitor at LEAST. You are definitely not getting 150 frames in Horizon. V-sync in the Nvidia panel should be set to Global (let 3d app decide). You really should just use V-sync on in game I'd say..

Edit: If you've messed around in your NVCP, I highly recommend hitting 'Restore' to get the settings back to normal. The only thing I recommend changing on every system is 'Power Management Mode' to max performance and I wouldn't touch anything else unless you know what it fully does.

Cap fps in vontrol panel to what your monitor is, and if you got an nvidia card, use nvidia fast sync in it's control panel. Way closer to gsync response times than v-sync.

Alternatively, get a freesync monitor. After i went g-sync back in 2015, i couldn't go back. It's just too good. Today i use a freesync premium panel.

Setting global NVCP to fast is just terrible advice but I'm not going to continue on the thread.

Use Special K's Latent Sync :)

That won't do anything. A traditional framerate limiter doesn't synchronize to the monitor's blanking, so the tear line will be in a random location.

You need Special K Latent Sync or RTSS Scanline Sync if you want to do anything like this.

Fast Sync doesn't work in D3D12.

Isn't Screen Tearing a thing only when you have a higher FPS than your refresh rate?
If so, you could always just cap your FPS to your Monitor's refresh rate (or like 5fps less) manually, or am i wrong?

There does seem to be some very slight screen tearing on this game. I've tried everything I can and I can't get rid of it. It does seem to be very slight. Noticable for me, I suspect most people don't notice it
