We're basically doing the equivalent to what Victor Fries does to his wife. Freezing the game in stasis till we can make it playable again.

Defender keeps giving me Trojan alerts on that file from Nexus.

likely false detection, your choice to turn it off, on virustotal only 2 of 61 detect a virus on 7z file, then 18 of 70 when extracted.
also to avoid advert download links logon to nexus is needed for the real file

doesnt defender by default alert everything that is not signed? or is it giving an actual concrete name instead of 'generic', which some AVs often do for packed executables and certain embedded libraries
one should always check things on something like virustotal to see if multiple AVs flag them, with consistent naming, and also be aware that certain AVs flag entire categories of tools because of their potential for high admin privileges or injection (hopefully at least flagging as 'potentially unwanted' or 'hacktool' rather than 'trojan')
i didnt try this dumper or look at the file yet (ugh nexus needs a login?), but something as simple as using the same name as a system file could trigger a flag depending on the AV, for example most injectors/wrappers like reshade or dxvk use the name of a directx system dll because most games request to read that dll and windows checks the currently executing folder for that filename first before checking the system folder (a very handy trick, but also potential for malicious misuse, some recent software has been made more secure by only loading from the system folder)
This is not normal

Is this safe Y/N?
And if it's safe, why all the flags?
Got it to work. Hopefully it can be used one day.
Nvm, just got the .json
Thanks for this tool. Saved my final state an hour ago. RIP The Crew.

However, you only have a limited time, after 31 march the servers will go down and your save file will be forever lost.

BRUH...
Yeah forget about it now.
I thought that file help to play offline mod when servers down, but when I read comments this is just a file to save your game progress?
is there any way to play game offline?
I dont need saves because I want to start new game

The game stores your save on their servers, there's no way to play offline yet nor is there a server emulator (but we are making a lot of good progress), but the file your save gets dumped to using the dumper is for when we get to that point, so you can keep your progress or start anew if you wish, since it's all tied to you locally rather than in a cloud.
Can't dump your save if they've revoked the game licenses and removed the game from your library...

Well no kidding. You were supposed to do it before the shutdown even happened, though many didn't get the chance. Post-shutdown you couldn't dump it anyways.
So we even lost our progress with server shutdown??? Didn't game saved it locally like other Ubi games , somewhere in Ubi launcher folder before uploading it to server?
