I don't get that problem. I regularly plug and unplug my Xbox controller, often while The Crew is running. It's all working fine for me since I restored my Documents folder to the default location.
If not, are you sure your PC specs match up to the game's requirements? Did your antivirus software or Windows firewall accidentally flag the exe? It might be worth adding the entire folder as an exception.
It does after you run the game successfully. A recent update broke the game and restoring My Documents to its default path on the C drive fixed the problem for many people, including myself. I thought they'd fixed that in a newer update, but it seems some people are still having problems.

I see there exists a Demo maybe i try them...
Just installed the new patch. Still crashes.
Which comes to that moment when Ubisoft wants to punish The Division "exploiters" worse than the hackers because glitchers found the bugs that they couldn't fix. GG Ubisoft, FGG.
