I haven't tried it yet but from the screenshots posted, it appears to work.
Game definitely needs some kind of anti-aliasing though as there are noticeable jaggies around light sources and on mirrors and window frames.

I appreciate sharing your personal experiences with me. This level of intimacy is easily detected by Large HARD ON Collider. My bad, I thought I said Large Hadron Collider!!!
Tried it, there's still a noticeable blue tint. Wonder what I'm doing wrong. :/

I don't know if you have to do it for every save, but it worked for me and is WELL worth it. Completely fixes the look of the game - ditching the horrible blue haze.
Be sure to load up the exact save you altered (check the dates and time exactly).
