The following..start fresh?

So I played the vanilla Dyling Light on my GFs Steam account and I 100% completed everthing. Now that The Following is out I want to purchase the Dying Light The Following Enhanced Edition on my account...but I don't really want to play through the vanilla game again.

Is it possible/can you start The Following from a fresh game from the start or is a save game from vanilla DL necessary? Do you need to be a certain level/with gear to start The Following?

yes. You can import a character or just go straight to the game without a previous save.

Just make sure you look around a find a weapon ;)

you have two saves the folowing campain and venilla. and you have all you're skills from the vanilla ^^

on a slightly related question, is the following a totally seperate area? i was going to start a new game from the beginning but unsure if i should do campaign first and then folowing or if the dlc starts you at the beginning of the game too just with extra stuff

Yes, it's a new area completely. A huge countryside. Larger than both main game maps combined. You actually drive around in a buggy.

You should buy this. The main campaign is worth a second playthrough. I'm planning mine for the summer.
