The most difficult thing about invasions is the hunter itself, not the nests. Stop using korek machete, this is terrible weapon, it's only viable in the beginning, later you should be obtaining better weapons. Take out zombies around the nest before attacking it, zombies turn into virals when nest is damaged. Also nests and hunter has fixed amount of health regardless of 10 damage or 5,000 damage weapon you use, different type weapons do different damage, for example two handed weapons while slow, do more damage, and one handed weapons do less damage but are faster. You can attack nest with combined drop kick + charged attack from two handed weapon (Without blueprint) on nest, this does a lot of damage.
Invasions is all about practicing and mechanics in the end, you won't learn much from reading.
