Dying Light
Are the DLCs weapons too op?
This is my first proper playthrough of the game, i'm fairly early on (story 11%) and i crafted the L4D2 guitar and the ranger bow for pretty much dirt cheap ingredients. The guitar one-shots all the regular zombies and the bow one-shots even that big guy with the hammer which normally takes forever to kill if there isn't any red barrels i can explode.

All the other non-DLC weapons look much more balanced and fair, should i refrain from using the DLC weapons?

This is not a balanced game to begin with so it's tough to give a good answer to that. Eventually your high level gear will reach that point but if you restrict yourself to low level gear the zombies aren't going to scale any better. You'll go from dying too fast to taking forever to kill.
You don't become an unkillable monster by the end, but you definitely trivialize most zombie fights with higher end weapons compared to the early game.

For how many exploders this game hid behind doors, to even try to say "git gud" is a joke lol.
And that's how I know you haven't played very much of this game's story.

There is your answer.

Yes they are op. I myself hate it when game do it and i would like to have the option to disable all "DLC" items that interfere with the balance.

The ranger bow is a joke early on. Usualy you have pipes and crap like that and you need several blows to kill a normal zed.

It's not only the the Bow is incredible strong but also as you have said yourself it's dirt cheap.
