Also there's one gun (pistol) at the fish village, it won't be useful that much tbh. You'll draw more attention from Virals and you'll run out of ammo.

If you think this is a shooting game, you're doing it wrong.
You need to learn running and zombie avoidance, then hit and dodge melee tactics. Eventually you'll get better melee weapons and barely need them because you can one hit kill the little ones with stealth or melee tactics.
You save your good weapons and your guns for special moments or specific missions. Giving you that stuff before you know the basics will not help you. You'll just make the game harder and still not know how to survive
The biggest performance boost will be from leveling. However, some people post concerns about enemy scaling per Survivor level. Regardless, Crane thrives with skill variety and crafting.
Weapon damage ratings vary, and are scaled with Survivor ranks. Color/Rarity and prefix of weapons also improve statistics. Additionally, weapon mods and Legendary points bolster the ratings further. Blueprint effects are tiered and not all elements are equal; as an example, two elements, like fire and shock, at tier 2, will improve the weapon more than a single tier 3 element, or a lesser dual tier 2. Also, invest in skills to improve weapon durability, performance, and crafting results.
Using skill combinations to kill zombies is a great idea. Some skills like Drop Attack provide guaranteed kills when applicable. As an example, see the achievement called, "Italian Plumber".
Weapons and supplies should be saved for when necessary, otherwise, rely on skills and environmental hazards. Grapple and throw zombies in to spikes, ignite oil slicks, activate shock puddles, drown zombies in deep water, detonate propane tanks, fight in the rain with shock weapons (not fire), UV light sources at night, etc. Kite, lure, or knock zombies into such hazards.
Learn when to use appropriate elemental attacks. For instance, at Survivor 4, the vendor at Ferry Landing will sell blueprints for Flammable and Conducting Liquid. This is true, even if the campain is not progressing and not other vendors are unlocked. The former will improve performance of fire attacks, while the latter will help with crowd control and stun locking enemies, especially volatiles at night. Conducting Liquid can also extinguish flaming zombies. Keep in mind, using a fire based weapon in the rain is not a good idea.
