Live Events - option doesn't exist

From the 1.19 patch notes:

if you wish to play Dying Light without live events, you can now turn them off and on via Options -> Online -> Live events

I don't see it anywhere?

Edit: They've now edited the announcement to be clearer, thanks Techland :)

On occasion, the devs activate special events. For example, I'll paste in a link for an upcoming one, that we still don't know specifics. More info is found at the News page for the game, or by activating the "Follow" button on game's store page, so an automatic notification is acquired.

They might be for double XP weeks, super powers for Crane, or whatever the devs decide.
