Water fountains
I completed the quest in Old Town. Whats the purpose of the fountains. I can drink from them, but I thought that maybe it will replenish my health, but nothing happens.

I think thats it's the same thing as the guitar in your room in the tower after beating the main game, it's mostly just a misc thing unless someone else found something out about this.

They do give health. At some point it started working. Its strange sometimes it gave me health as soon a I drank, sometimes a few sec later. There are a few fountains, so Im not sure its just some that work/dont work or are buggy.

Drinking water in the fountains in Old Town ( Sector 0 ) will recover 10 points of your health. Still miserable but compared to any energy bar that heals only 2-6 points, is better than ever.
Burger and Pita or cookies still heals 15-16 points.

Update.

In my experience some fountains dont give health on the first sip. After that it works.

Like water fountains in Prey? I love this game and love this company, but is there anything they don't rip off?

Every first person shooter is a rip-off of Wolfenstein 3D, by that logic.

It actually does replenish your health. however, they're usually a bit weird and glitchy. you might have to drink from the fountain 2-3 times before it actually starts to heal you. But in general, you get 10 health per drink.
