Will volatiles spawn if I don't do the first night mission?
If I just do side quests without doing the first air drop night mission where you encounter volatiles, will they still spawn?

If you don't do that mission, your game time will keep on being frozen so it'll never turn into night, therefore no volatiles. But you don't have to be afraid of volatiles, you can always sleep and skip the night, they don't spawn at day.

If it can help you. I ended up climbing up a lampost calling my mom. When I realized they can spit, survival took a whole new meaning as I ran around like a headless chicken only to realise I was going the wrong way.

actually, it's a good idea to stockpile some items you will need later in the beginning, since there are no nights and staff. your best choice if herbs of all kinds, as potions will make your life much easier. If you intend on duping though, no need for anything.

Yeah, that's true. Speed boosters saved my ass often in nighttime, early game. Same goes for the other boosters. But the speed one is especially handy. Volatiles can't really keep up with you if your using a speed booster combined with the parkour.

Yeah me too. Volatiles are easy to avoid as they just go out at night anyway. But the virals? ♥♥♥♥ those guys, sometime it feels like they would keep chasing me until we hit china.

Well that's simple, all you have to do is give them chopsticks, you'll have plenty of time to run after that before they learn how to eat with it.

Find a dev item such as the korek machete or EXPcalibur but due to low durability use it only in desperate situations

Indeed, I had fun turning the tables on a certain person that wanted to play loaud music, I thought two can play at that game, I hid on the roof till dark, threw a grenade or two and let the volitiles solve the problem. I love watching Rias's guys try and take them on, like they actually have a chance, lol.
