Invalid Expiration date
Anyone else hate the discrepancy mode saying the expiration date matches the data but then you get a penalty for an invalid expiration date?

I never had that happen to me.

Are you sure you checked all documents?

Haven't had that, but had it happen on a different piece of Information. I forget which. And to answer any questions of "Did you Check..." I run the Scanner over EVERYTHING. On the Rare instance I forget one Element, I KNOW what that Element is the minute it Triggers a Flag.

I ALSO know when I missed smthn and it still Passed. I usually Realize it as soon as the person is walking out and not only thanking my Stars it was Valid, but Vowing to DOUBLE Remember THAT piece of Information the NEXT Time! ROFLMGDFAO

the invalid expiration date may be due to another document though, not the one you knew was correct.

Except when I check them with the discrepancy mode it doesn’t detect it on any of the documents until they are out of the booth

I'm sorry if that's a stupid question but... what do you use as reference in Inspection Mode/to know if the date is still valid?

The bottom part where the date is connected to the clock or where the date is on all documents which is usually at the bottom

Personally, I only use the date below the clock as a reference, never the ones on the other documents, and have never encountered that issue so far.

If the problem still persists despite that, then I'm afraid I'm not sure what could be causing it.

I LAWAYS use the Clock in Discrepancy Mode because I suck with the Foreign Date Referencing--I'm American, LMFAO--but I feel it HAS to be that way for 'Reality's' Sake! LMFAO Getting better at reading it, though.

OFC, I run the Discrepancy Checker over EVERYTHING. It still let's me get them out in a Timely Fashion. As Evidenced by my 67 Passport Record in one Level! 8D

(If that number seems a little off, ESPECIALLY with me running the Checker over EVERYTHING, then you have good gut suspicions already about why that is, LMFAO)

one way to speed your stuff up as opposed to checking everything is to spread out the documents and only focus on each document. if hter's somehting out 'in the process' it raises your flags to investigate e.g.:

1. Yellow Vaccine slip (as its easiest/quickest to deny entry) - compare to date, then move it down, overlap it with the passport name so you can see both names are same. throw slip back to persons desk.

2. compare passport data to date, city (there's nice cheat sheet pictures out there to compare quickly without rulebook), then keep it to one corner with just name showing and use for rest of reference.

3. etc. the principle is that if you do the same process each time, and you don't find something you're looking for, you can stop and check hte discrepency. this will save you a heap fo time manually checking everything and once you're done with a doc, you threow it away and move on.

The biggest drawback doing it this way, is that it doesn't auto check for work slip as not everyone has one.

anyway as long as we're all having fun, that is indeed travellign in the right spirit of Astotska!

Work Visa date needs to be compared to duration on Entry Permit.

This is one of the most important ones, that people overlook! Some immigrants do not have authorization to work for the length of their stay, or for the length they say they will.
