Should I Keep Buying Food And Heat For Family?

I'm not sure whether I should buy my family the stuff they need to survive while they're ok.
I'm going with not buying them food and heat while they're ok, but when I do that and I'm struggling with money I usually just mess up a whole lot. Any suggestions?

usually when i was trying to be stingey, i'd do one day food, next day heat, and alternate. seems to keep them from completely going sick until you go tthe goods

If you find yourself having a hard time to earn enough money, it's a common way to alternate your expenses for heat and food daily. Save food one day, save heat the next day and so on.

One way to make sure you have enough money for both - at least in the beginning - is to deny without interrogation. Interrogation only slows you down. Until you have to provide a reason for declining (day 12?), you don't have to ask about discrepancies. So if their passport has expired, or their photo doesn't match, or the issuing city is incorrect: don't waste time talking about it, or (heaven forbid) fingerprinting - just DENY and "Next, please"

In this way you should be able to process 15-20 per day and therefore have plenty of cash to keep your family warm and fed.

Or you could be a jerk and kill everyone off except the uncle, who is the easiest to keep alive. Why?

The bad ending where you lose your job due to being unable to support a family will only trigger if EVERYONE in your family dies, which allows you to kill some of them off to cut costs if you absolutely need to. It's scummy, but it works.
