Bugged achievement?
I moved my entire family to Obriskan but didn't get the achievement. Thought it was a fluke so I did it again, but still nothing. Do you need to save your mother-in-law who's headed for Nirsk, somehow?

To unlock Snowier Pastures, you will need to escape to Obristan with all living family members (this includes your mother-in-law and your niece if you adopted her). You will need to confiscate enough Obristanian passports for you and all your family members, and be able to pay 25 credits per family member. The entire family does not need to be alive and it should be possible to get the achievement even if only one family member is alive and escapes with you. What's important is that nobody gets left behind.

Note that there are two different endings where you escape to Obristan. In Ending 16, your remaining family members return to Nirsk and the final line is "The safety of your [family member(s)]is unknown." In Ending 18, everyone comes with you and the final line is "Obristan above all." Only Ending 18 unlocks the achievement.

But... I did have enough passports for every member of the family, and even had one extra incase another family member (*cough* mother-in-law *cough*) popped up out of nowhere, but she just doesn't want to move to Obristan.

Sounds like you have enough passports for everyone in your family, but do you have enough money? It costs 25 credits to forge a passport for each family member alive, including yourself - if the mother-in-law refuses to come, perhaps you can't afford fake passports for everyone?

You can tell if you've fullfilled the criteria for Ending 18 on the End of Day screen, because it will say "You can now escape to Obristan with everyone." rather than "...with one/two/three/four family members."

Yes, I had enough money, and it did say "you can escape with everyone". It's just that the mother-in-law just wants nothing to do with Obristan. That dang harpy.

Well, I'm stumped. Maybe you could contact the developer about it? Make sure to include as much information as possible, including how many Obristanian passports and credits you have?

Alternatively, you could upload a screenshot of the End of Day screen and post it here in case there's anything that's been overlooked?

I know that this is an old post, but did you ever find the solution to this? I'm running into the same problem and it's driving me nuts. I even went back and reloaded the right day, confirmed it says I can escape with the whole family, have the money, mother in law still opts to go to Nirsk for some reas.

In your screenshot, it says you have 4 passports, and 100 money. This is enough for yourself, plus another 3 people. You need 5 passports (One for you and one for each of your remaining family members) and 125 money (25 for you + 25x4=100 for 4 family members) (150 money on day end if you include rent.)
