Its the fact that once you start mapping the league mechanic might as well not exist, and gold takes the place of normal items like rares or currency drops (and them removing item quantity) means less drops for everyone means you need to use the mechanic to make up for the fact that there is less drops.
But paying wages means T1-16 maps do not drop enough gold or ore, and of course not taking into account upgrading the town, which can take weeks if you are not doing T17's.
I bet most players won't have a fully upgraded town by the end of the league. (especially the runes and how rare they are for some reason)
This nets you absolutely nothing compared to what litters the ground in red maps. What actually gets you a lot more gold is downsizing on workers and not having unnecessary stuff running.
Ships are dead after last patch. You are better with mappers now.
Yeah that patch is just a big "WTF?".
Patch notes: Fixed disproportionately high impact on risk compared to rewards. Buff in almost all cases.
Actual patch notes: Dust now gives you 98% less shipment value.
There have been multiple tests and data-mining done, there's nothing to suggest that gold replaces any currency or valuable items. It replaces random rare and magic items that 90% of the player base wouldn't pick up and wouldn't show on loot filters.
Clearly just looking for a reason to moan about it though i guess
I've been told it's supposed to now affect rewards without affecting value. Counter-intuitive if that's the case, and on my 8k dust shipments I've noticed way less divines, was getting on average 3 divines a day with shipments and yesterday I only got 1, today 0 so far.
You don't have to keep the ships running but not having farmers working is nuts. I've gotten probably 50+ divines from ships alone and that's not counting runes/tattoos.
I really don't understand the argument that the league is fine, if you ignore the league mechanics.
We were getting good stuff from shipping so they nerfed ships, mapping still terrible. The only use for gold now seems to be the currency exchange.
They need to buff gold drops or reduce the costs for things. It would be nice to actually play the league mechanics without being forced to farm T17 maps.
