Why Ice nova does not expand from frost bolt coc?

Crit its about 55 and first gem its frost boltafter that its ice nova,i know that crit its working since i cast frostbolt all the time

Coc can't be triggered from spells. It has to be linked to an attack skill, and said attack skill must crit for it to cast it.

This means that your nova cannot trigger off of frost bolt crits, since frost bolt is not an attack skill.

If you have them all linked up with an attack skill, and it's not expanding from frost bolt then, then that's certainly weird, and i don't know why that would be.

That's actually strange that it wouldn't expand from the ice bolt.

If you're using melee attacks to trigger both ice bolt and ice nova, I would think it would expand off ice bolt appropriately. If it's not, then maybe it's some particular oversight/bug with that circumstance?

I think you're doing it correctly, but something about the mechanism doesn't work for some reason. Maybe post on the official boards about it?

Y must, but what weird its that when i put in other weapon vorex it cast without having frostbold linked at all without any connection that spell cast

I assume your gem links are as follows: Malice(frosbolt), armor (CoC->ice nova).

Doesn't matter, the order of events must be correct due to internal timing and also ice nova's limitation to 2 frostbolts..If you have 3 or more frosbolts out, only 2 of closest ones will ice nova. They will overlap since the novas are all close together and might look like only 1 nova has gone off depending on your cosmetic applied...

I hope you are not imagining that the whole screen will be filled with ice novas... It's not the case.

i thought he had a cyclone coc with frost bolt and nova on a 4 and 6

I have the same problem. i have ice nova of frostbolts on chest and one cospri's, and frostbolts on the other cospri's. this auto casting set up does not show the ice nova expanding from the frostbolts. however, when i test by self-selfing casting, the ice nova effect can be seen expanding from the frostbolts. i feel cheated becasue i spent a lot of currency just to get the gem :'\

Ok, i think i figured out the problem, maybe? it was becasue i had two different ice nova gems slotted (the ice nova of frostbolts and the normal ice nova). i think the two types of ice nova might have caused the frostbolts to not pick of the effect. swapped out the normal ice nova, and it seems to work ok, now.

also check the coc gem what lvl the other skills must be because all of those proc gems have minimum lvl depend what the proc gem lvl is say like lvl 20 cast on dmg gem must be lvl 70 to work with proc gem
