Act 6 is a Frost boss as well, so yea I dunno mate.
Does your chaos damage chip away the health of boss at fast or slow rate? Currently feel like chaos damage have no problem against those boss. I ask one of the few people I know and they said they chipped the boss health rather fast even with 2k of chaos damage.
ED itself will slowly chip away, but if you get a Bane/Despair combined with a Blight going it will go fast.
Another skill that helps, use frost bomb. Then the curses(frostbite, projectile weakness) and auras(herald of ice, hatred, zealotry-crit builds) and maybe a golem (lightning, ice or fire, iffy since they die a lot later...)
Only when your gear is really top notch, then can stick to using GMP. for some bosses E.g First snow jewels, crap ton of spell damage or elemental damage bonuses, etc.
Prolly I was using old fashion.. was away from the game for like 4 years before decided to return.

Currently going for FP, Spell Echo, Cold penetration, arcane surge and controlled destruction.
If I want to maintain ailment, whats the best substitute for it? Currently using faster casting for it.

I do run curse to lower the boss def. I just want to know the average dps the player have upon reaching act 6 since I am uncertain if 15-20k dps being too low at act 6 or not.
Edit: If I recall it right, did't hypothermia a bad choice against boss?
If you are destroying white and blue packs nearly instantly then your DPS is fine. DPS as listed in game is rarely useful though, it just doesn't factor all the important things into it, or adjust for certain skill mechanics, so off the top of my head I have no idea what 15-20k sheet DPS on freezing pulse means.
