Infinite Battery

So today i was playing and i had 3 batteries left, and the one i was using was running out but i decided to wait until it ends to reload. The fact is that it never ended, the battery "meter" was completely empty but i still had energy, even though i didnt reload. Is this a bug ?

no clue if its bug happend to me too, ended up with a really dull night vison tho.

It is actually good for players since we dont run out of batteries, but now that i know this, the game lost a lot of tension because i know i wont be in bad situations where i cant see anything

Really ? I didn´t know that, guess it is my bad then... I was pretty sure you couldn't use it because i thought my camera stoped working a few days ago when i had no batteries left.. Thanks you two for your answers !

The battery powers the special nightlight, which is reflected and picked up by night vision, which does NOT require batteries, but without the night light, the vision can only pick up ambient light. I avoid reloading batteries in semi lit areas unless maxed out to conserve for 100% dark areas.
