Co-op still works? How to make it work? ( SOLVED )

Does the co-op still work? I mean servers are still online? Or can I at least connect to a friend's game on steam?

If you get Unable to Connect or anything while starting a Co-op or Multiplayer host, follow the following steps.

Solution (For Windows 10) :
Start >> Settings >> Allow an App through Windows Firewall (search this in the settings window search bar)
- Now, you may need to click and confirm the "Change Settings" (Admin rights required).
- Click Allow Another App
- Browse to the Sniper Elite 3 folder in your Steam Library
- Goto "...steamapps\common\Sniper Elite 3\bin\" folder
- Now select the .exe application file (named some sniperelite3 or something in this folder) and Add it

- It may say that "This file already exists in the Exceptions List of Firewall".
- Don't panic. Just search existing Sniper Elite 3 in the Allowed Applications list (Allowed apps and features list) and DELETE it.
- Again try to add the steamapps\common\Sniper Elite 3\bin\sniperelite3.exe via Allow Another App... now it should SUCCEED.

I just tried it, and it didn't work. The guy I'm trying to co op with loads up just fine. I love how we can have games that are years old, and still buggy.

Sorry to report that this is only a temporary fix, and as such, probably not the root cause.
I've had to reload the game several times before coop worked (both joining a session, and creating my own, failed). And even after being able to join a session, it might throw one of the players out later in that session.
And to top it off, there is still the bug, where the game will sometimes kick one of the co-op players during a reload of a checkpoint, telling the host that the guest has left the session (effectively making you do the entire mission again).

Yes, I never tried to play an actual co-op game. I was getting some linking error while trying to create a session. I just shared it how I went around and solved it. If I face something else and solve it, I will share it here. If someone else does, kindly share.

Mine been working though i cant use RPGs mins and few other things cause host gets kicked at least one I played with but we finshed game i still need help with Autntick

I found a solution that works for me and my friend when we play coop:

In your library, go to SE3 > Properties > File Installed > Browse > Launcher , then click on the Sniper3Launcher .exe file to launch the game.
Hope it works for you.

if you have issues joining in coop try connecting on Radmin - it puts you into a virtual LAN

I found this helped with a lot of different games where I had problems connecting with friends
