Cheers
Think I did manage to sprint off in the end, but only just. And I also found I couldn't walk the streets freely anymore, not only in Detriot, but even when I first arrived in Henghsa !! I've never killed a cop since !!
Also, Holstering your weapon is a Must throughout the Non-trespassing areas of the game as failure to do so, will cause Non-hostile NPC's to run away, and refuse to speak with you after they've seen you with a weapon. This includes certain shopkeepers. Hostiles will of course immediately open fire.
I've found that with a Number of Hostiles in the game, that they will issue a warning before attacking, as long as your gun is Holstered. Since you don't actually need a weapon other then when your under heavy attack, keeping your weapon Holstered is a good way to get an initial Takedown/Kill, before any other Hostiles start attacking.
