no alarm run
Hello all,

I'm doing a run where I don't set off any alarms, and I have a question. Does that mean, no enemy can become alarmed? Or that no enemy can reach an alarm panel?

They can be alarmed and hostile, for as long as they don't reach a panel. The cameras and turrets can be suspicious, but not hostile.

I don't know for certain, but I'm pretty sure they now integrated TML into Foxiest of the Hounds, so I'd make sure to get Smooth Operator there as well.

i assume you are going for foxiest of hounds.

if the mob is "yellow" and did not see you then you are good.

that just means they have been alerted. I often open a door, throw a box, etc to get a mob to move from its designated sweep pattern.

it is the cameras and other robots you don't want to have turn yellow since the means they spotted you.

I guess the achievement could be somewhat harder to get now, since they added some cameras into bossfight areas. It's harder to avoid them if you are locked in the room with angry bullet sponge chasing you.:-D

i have a question though , Does foxiest of the hounds affect the "missing link" part of the game .. because there is an alarm that i cant disable right before you get off the ship unless i walk through it. because im doing a factory zero playthrough... does it affect it

then how do i disable that alarm before getting scanned without failing factory zero

that was going to be my next question. there are a few parts of the game where an alarm in triggered automatically.

Tai Yong medical being one

how do you not set those off when they are automatically set off?

Those that are set off by the story can't be avoided. But don't worry about them. The link I gave you above should give all the possible Smooth Operator missions. Just don't forget that TML isn't in that list.

As posted above, the best way to do this is by using the wiki link in the first reply as a guide. The basic gist of it is, as long as no alarms are set off and no guard gets off a yell for help to other guards, you're good.

Good luck!

I've did pacifist/foxy on the original .. But This is the only alarm that i'm leary about... You can hack the panel but that would require me forfeiting factory zero to disable it ( which i'm trying to accomplish alongside Foxiest/Pacifist ) .Once you pass through the barrier you go to machine to scan your biometrics and the alarm disappears.

There shouldn't be any problems with that, I got both Factory Zero and Foxiest on my first run.

ok so I have a question thats very early spoiler-tastic.

I just passed over the bridge in the sarif plan, where you look down and see swat going to town on the terrorists. And since this game is a new game +, I have the ocular implant that shows the timer for where an alarm disapears. After passing over the bridge, the timer pops up.

Does this mean that I, some how, failed this achievement?

No enemy must reach an alarm panel.

But also, you must not let a camera/turret/bot become hostile as well as fail hacking an alarm panel (also triggers the alarm).

Turrets and bots can turn red, but if they shoot, enemies will hear it and sound the alarm. First example, in the Sarif Manufacturing Plant, you jump from one wall to the other side where the turret by the hacker is and it will go hostile, but not fire, unless you are stll in view. No alarm.

These are scripted events and you start with them on "Alerted."

Any alarm that goes off as part of the story (e.g., the Tai Yong Medical Penthouse, the finale of Missing Link) do not count against the Foxiest of the Hounds achievement. You only lose out on the achievement when an alarm is triggered as a result of you alerting enemies and turning them hostile, making them trip an alarm panel.

What alarm is this? The laser grid that leads to the sally port? If so, where one of the guards was standing (leaning against one of the computers, smoking, while talking to another guard) there is a Pocket Secretary on the floor with the laser grid code.
