Any fix yet for ui scaling at high resolution?
I had forgotten about the UI not scaling and how it makes scoped weapons almost impossible to use at 4k... is there still no fix for this available?

Don't think there will ever be a fix for this issue. Still says unresolved on gaming wiki. Gotta put up with it and never use snipers.

Now imagine it at 4k. My monitor is 32", and the scope is maybe one inch across, with about 95% of the screen just covered in black. The viewable area in the scope is only slightly larger than the size of the normal crosshair.

The radar is about one inch square, the ebooks are about two inches tall.

Here's the funny thing... later in the game when our augs start glitching out, the HUD actually displays at the right size during the glitches.

A possible workaround would be to set your resolution to 1080p and then use sparse grid SSAA x 4 or 8. Not as good as native 4k and you have to set the game to DX9, but it kills most of the jaggies and flickering and you should have a working scope. Game has awful aliasing issues. Instructions are on PC gaming wiki. Looks blurry to me so I stick with 4k and no scopes but you could use sharpening to counter it. Shame this can't be fixed.

Yeah I can set it to 1080 and have better ui scaling, but going out of the native 2160 resolution of this monitor is basically not an option. This is an early Samsung 4k monitor, one of the first 4k monitors, and while it looks absolutely beautiful at 4k, non-native resolutions look horrible. As I step it down from 3840x2160 it starts getting blurry, colors fade, looks washed out... 2560x1600 isn't too bad, but still noticeable... but 1920x1080 looks like total garbage.

I don't know if this is something that's true of newer 4k monitors, maybe they do non-native resolutions better now. I'm sure the latest 4k monitors are much better than this one, especially when it comes to refresh rate.

I've always been a resolution snob though, since my graphics design job required a high resolution screen with a dense dot pitch. I was used to using resolutions like 2048x1536 and 2560x1920 on my high end CRT 4:3 monitors... so in that span of years where the only monitors available were 1920x1080 16:9 flat screens, I stuck with my last CRT right up until 4k flat screens were available. Those were very squinty days.

I really wish someone would make a mod for this. Bought the game on steam and 4k resolution is unplayable as the ui is too small. 1080p looks like crap on my 4k tv

There is a solution. Download and use this patcher: https://www.nexusmods.com/deusexhumanrevolution/mods/28

Not just that it fixes high cpu core count crash, but you can change scaling as well. I have 4K 48 inch TV as my monitor and this definitely helped.

This should be pinned to the top of the freaking forum. Looks like the mod only came out last summer but it's such a massive improvement...
