mods from the steam workshop
is this a planned feature? I would prefer not to use sketchy 3rd party sites to get mods for my games

I'm pretty sure part of the reason is that the Steam workshop has limitations to it in terms of how you can mod/how much you can mod. Expanded workshop support was cited as a reason to make Slay the Spire 2, and Terraria needs an entire separate version of the game to run the insane mods it can, so I'm sure it's not as simple as you and I would think. If you want a trusted site then just use nexusmods. https://www.nexusmods.com/balatro

Github and Nexus are sketchy? News to me.
It would be nice to at the very least make things easier like making new card skins without having to replace textures every time you want to have something different

github makes a bit more sense to call sketchy since it seems like anyone can share anything there while nexus is specifically for game mods. but yeah nexus being called sketchy is very odd XD

yeah, i understand some of the more complex mods not being easily accommodated with a steam workshop, but at least having a means here to share custom deck/suit textures like the game already seems to support with the 'friends of jimbo' update (plus jokers) would be very nice.
