And I'm not impressed with the way the bonus art in this update is done. Turning them all on makes it really hard to differentiate the cards, and only turning one suit on seems silly.

CRT effect you've been able to turn off since the moment the game released. Background animation has been possible to turn off for months. I've also had a mod out since before then that replaces the background with either a flat colour, or moving circles, if you prefer either of those: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2379780/discussions/0/4346606879522655969/
Do note some backgrounds get a little bright, may be best suited for people who don't hate light mode in browsers.

I did the obvious, activated spade/clubs because they are subtle and look great and deactivated heart/diamond because they don't fit at all in my opinion.

Lets pray we get an update with full Witcher or Vampire for all the suits so you can run the same look through out! <3

Yeah, the game mechanics are great, but the visuals leave a lot to be desired.
