We need an UNDO button.
Losing a run because you quickly mistook a spade for a club is unreasonable.

I have thought the same thing a couple of times wishing for an undo button after I made a dumb missclick or didn't read something correctly. I have played plenty of games with rewind functions including racing games, puzzle games and card games (solitaire expeditions for example). But if I think about it rationally, I agree that it probably would break a lot of this game, I don't think it works.

I guess you could disable unlocks and achievements if you use it (with a confirmation box warning you) and treat it like seeded runs whenever you rewind, but why would you ever use it if that's the case. Just restart a new run.

change the color setting.
If you react quickly enough, you can pause and exit to main menu before the hand scores chips and you should be able to redo your turn. Not exactly an undo, but it does the same thing. Not broken or op either, since you're still stuck with the same hand.

High contrast mode exists. Just look in the game settings.
Making mistakes is part of the game, ive discarded cards i wanted to play, played 4 cards on the boss that requires 5, mistook cards as other cards, not read the joker descriptions correctly... but its my fault every time, you cant blame the games design for a mistake you make. The developer is on record as saying he wants players to think things through. Undo would be one of the worst things to add to a game like this, you are suppose to fail and get better next time, being able to undo when you make the wrong choice takes the whole premise of the game and throws it away.

add undo button and 1.5x game speed

Is 2x speed to fast to you and 1x to slow or you don't know you can change speed in settings?

Why would we want an undo button? Isn't losing if you make a silly mistake one of the fun points of the game?

I don't think being able to go back a single play would be gamebreaking.

No. :)

The idea of an Undo button is stupid...... that being said IF you make it a Voucher or something like that for example, like the one that let's you reroll the Blind, that would work and could possibly save you big time in upper ante's

Can't think of any other card game that has an undo button. Play button is pretty permanent. All I can say is maybe slow your roll a bit and take the few extra seconds to look over your hand before you hit play.
not a card game but into breach does undos really well. they treat it as a consumable resource

I would love to have an undo for an accidentally discarded hand that was supposed to be played. I agree with OP.

Usually confirm buttons are on the RIGHT and cancel buttons are on the LEFT... Balatro is opposite.
Or, like, just add a "Are you Sure?" confirmation when playing only a High Card hand. The times when you actually want to play only a HC hand are rare/Joker specific. This would protect against the misclick when you think you're playing a flush.

I would have put the hand confirmation in the middle of the screen, not off to the left.

But, FWIW, the High Contrast option does work and largely fixes the issue, but it is quite unpleasant to look at.

I disagree with OP heavily, but that response comes off as really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ableist. You might wanna delete it.
