how long does the game take to beat
also does it have a new game plus? i looked at some of the reviews and the reviewers had generally only played 4-6 hours. i just dont want to buy a game that will only take like 5 hours to beat when it cost $20..... im not gunna pay $4 or $5 per hour of game play, i hate games like that

Cheaper than a movie, and better story then most movies too

NG+ is a big feature of the game.
5.5 hrs in, almost finished it (I think, not 100% sure).

The game I feel will take an average player about 4-5 hours to beat. I know that I enjoyed the game a lot that I will play through it multiple times using different playstyles to get a good feel for the game because of how the combat system works. If you are more of a one and then done person with games and want a 10+ hour campaign this wouldn't be your cup of tea.

Took me just under 4 hours, but I blasted through the story. There is tons of content to be found, can't wait to dedicate more time to it and experiment with the deep combat system at max level. If you're just gonna play it once and leave it you should probably wait until it's on sale or something, but it's a beautiful game.

I took me roughly 5 hrs, but I'd agree, the Recursion mode is probably where most of the gameplay is.

On of my friends took around 7 hours to do it.

Also people really need to start looking at quality/price or quality/hours/price, not just price/hours. If you want to get the most hours for your $$$ then go play one of those generic Free to Play MMORPGs.

This is a high quality, so if any part of it interests you, the music, the art etc. or if you liked Bastion a bunch then yeah, this game is easily worth $4-$5/hour, no doubt. I think with your mindset though, maybe you shouldn't bother. Wait for a sale if you feel that strongly about the price.

And like Altourus was kind of implying, $4-$5/hour for a decent game is plenty worth it. I think lots of people have just developed a kind of warped mindset around game pricing and really need to get out of it.

You could also look at it like, well for example if I worked 2 hours minimum wage in my country that would give me enough to buy Bastion and a bunch of soda and chips or whatever. Was going though that 2 hours I worked worth it to enjoy 5+ hours of a decent game and some tasty food? Yes.

But yeah, maybe do some more research and try find out if you think this is your kinda game. It's easily worth it if you end up liking it.

i bought dishonored right when it came out for $60 and it took me 4 1/2 hours to beat... thats when i started to care about price per hour...

6 hours for me, but that was just the first part - and they were a QUALITY 6 hours. Very worth it.

4 hours in and I'm not at the second major boss yet. Some people just don't know how to soak in a game. If you do, then you'll get more than 4-6 hours out of your first playthrough, easily.

6.5 hours for me, took a friend 11 hours. Depends on how you pace yourself. I'm gonna go back and do NG+, however, which I think is worth including in gameplay length.

You must have run through that game skipping almost every encounter.

That's not the fault of the game.
