how do you use the monster biscuit ?

I accidently found the monster that we can mount. When I get close to it, it has this special icon and it says lower the hp of the monster and then give it a monster biscuit.

I lowered the hp and put the monster biscuit on 8 on my hotbar and hit 8 but nothing happened. What am I doing wrong ? Is there a certain button to push to use the monster bisciut ? Any help would be awsome.

I googled this and youtubed it but no gamer has made a video or anything.

It's admittedly not very clear, but it's actually quite simple. Once an enemy is below 50% hp, if you have any monster buscuits, simply interact with the animal to mount it. You do not need to place it in the hotbar nor use it :)

I hit E and right click when the special icon appeared (not sure what did it) and when it had less than 50% health and poof I got on it. Thank you Luminaire, loving my new ride !!

Ok I just got off it and it started attacking me again. It only stops attacking me when I get back on it.

Is that normal or is there a way to tame it because right now it is angry and attacks when I get off. Is there some way to make it happy or chill it out ?

I killed that one too because it would not stop attacking me even though I mounted it. At least I figured it out though. Please let me know it that is normal for it to attack after i mount it and then get off.

This is normal. Unfortunately you cannot obtain permanently tamed animals. In storymode, chen states that while domesticating is not an option, you are able to feed it this biscuit to temporarily have it obey you. The effect is lost once you dismount though, and it returns to a normal hostile creature.

Not really worth feeding it then if you can't keep it from attacking you and you can't put it in your inventory like a ride either which sucks but it's whatever.

We'll extend the peace time when you dismount the animals, but still there'll be no permanent peace time for them, since if we make it that way, the game would be far less tough than it supposes to be.

could you allow us to make pens for animals and keep the animal at 50% hp so we can pseudo domesticate them? :P
