Why is hitman becoming a "good guy"
Seems like hitman is becoming a secret agent that has to take out bad people from the world, just because they are about to do something evil(like inventing a super-virus,selling agency secrets)

Is it me or hitman is becoming the good guy(heroe)?
What do you guys think?

II agree, feels like they are taking the "safe" way here.

He is a hired Hitman, they tell him to do a job he does it, no questions asked?

Do you know what a hitman's job is?

I too am getting a bit tired of killing only blatantly corrupt or "evil" individuals (dem politicians and the wealthy, amiright?). Especially when you consider that those types of unsavory characters would be THE type to hire an assassin in the first place, especially one of the caliber and cost as 47. Seems to me the best freelance assassin in the world would take any contract, without consideration for moral circumstance.

I think you need to play the hitman series again, becuase you are very much mistaken

hitman blood money: the targets you got to kill.

Drug lord
Murder of child
prostitution ring for underage
crime lord
elite assassins
killded a stripper

and much more.

So where is the good guys you talk about?

What? He is not some crazy psychopath. He is a hitman. He doesnt go out running with a gun like a terrorist. He is supposted to be sneaky and kill only his target

He always was a "good" guy, at least in the sense he is not an immoral character, but he does whatever it takes to complete the mission regardless what that mission entails.

Same reason your character in Fallout 4 is a "Good Guy". The world is transforming into PG-13.

I think you need to learn to read. The topic is about 47 being the "good guy" because he kills nothing but scumbags and villains. Most hitmen kill anyone so long as it pays, regardless if that person can be deemed innocent or not- it's only about the money/the job.

It feels like a major cop out. Like they were worried the game was already dark enough and they want to portray 47 as some kind of redeemable character (i.e. the Catholic religious "redemption" crap in 2) because he only kills bad people.

I mean its still something. Or do you want to play as a cop and arrest them. Because that would be so fun

47's genetic fathers in the first game were such saints.
Jet City Gambler Sep 16, 2016 @ 4:11pm
Hitman's always had sort of a secret agent slant with the storyline, though. In Silent Assassin, 47 is blackmailed into stealing components of a nuclear missile that Sergei intends to sell to terrorists. In Blood Money, he goes up against a rival agency and then foils an assassination attempt on the president by killing the assassin and the Vice President.

But he's hardly a hero in this game. He kills the actor in The Icon just because his movie is way over budget. He kills Jordan Cross's lawyer because he got him off on a murder charge (isn't that what lawyers do?). He kills one of the twins because the twin's brother is jealous. He kills Gary Busey just because he's Gary Busey

He has always been capable of empathy. In past games you could rescue certain people from their situations and he tried living a peaceful life with Father Vittorio until he got murdered. And besides...when it comes to the gameplay he can be as evil as you make him. You can screw around and try to kill everyone in the level.

Well, except Father Vittorio doesn't get murdered, he gets kidnpped. 47 rescues him in the end. Vittorio pleads with him to give up his life of violence and 47 rejects it, leaving the priest's rosary behind as he goes to rejoin the agency.

I did like the newspaper headlines in Blood Money though, "Psychopath Slaughters 48!" We'd often play it through with as high a body count as possible just to chuckle over the newspaper recaps afterward.

I did read if he actually played the other games and understood the story he was good, why does he need to be a bad guy?
