it means anything that is server based you can not use in offline mode. i.e challenges, escalation, unlocked weapons...

if you pro you don't need the unlocks anyway

The sniper is rather important, also coin (dunno if it's an unlock or not).
Its definitely not the same experience, in fact to be frank its not worth the $10 in each episode if you cannot unlock anything or have any feeling of progression. If you dont mind that, go ahead and buy then, but personally not having any sort of progression gets extremely boring. I wrote a review some time ago about it, check it out in my profile

If you don't have a reliable internet connection, I wouldn't recommend it. For one, the online and offline saves are completely different, so you can't load a game you played in the other mode. As others have noted, you can't complete challenges offline, so you can't unlock the extra weapons and gear. You also can't play the extra Contracts, or Escalations, or Elusives.

On the other hand, if you have a good internet connection, it's a great game with fun challenges and lots of replay value.

You see some smart guy,the developer or the publisher made a wise reasonable decision. Why we must login the server in order to enjoy a single play campaign. That was a joke totally. But you can still try it, if you find you dont have a good connection with the poor server, refund it then.

so what those unlocks are (are they like much important? like a suspessor for quit or smth)?
so the game can be either online and either offline(the difference are those unlocks you mention can you explain that to me what are those unlocks? )

unlocks include starting location like as a chef in the kitchen, waiter, security. Item pick up locations so you can pick up a sniper in the attic.
weapon unlocks include exploding duck, smg, different types of pistols, mobile phone that explodes.

Hey, Gravy Man. Let me make things clearer for you:

The game is separated in two modes: offline and online. It is meant to be played online. Your whole progression can only be accessed when in online mode. In offline mode, you get the basics and there is no communication between those two modes. Unfortunately, the offline mode is so ridiculously stripped down to the bare bones that it's a joke.

By progression I mean:

. Mastery and unlocks: everytime you complete a challenge in a level, you earn mastery points for that level. It goes from 0 to 20. And you unlock things along the way, such as guns, poisons, other gear, etc, that you can bring to the level on future replays.

The game only gives you a black gun, a fiber wire, a lockpick and 3 coins to start the levels with. All the rest is earned through unlocks. So even basic stuff like a sniper rifle is not available unless you unlock it. There's not a single level where you can find a sniper rifle to use, so you need to be online in order to use a sniper rifle.

The unlocks also include new starting points in the level: you can start undercover, say, as a kitchen assistant, as a guard, etc; and it also includes ICA drop offs: crates where your unlocked gear can be sent to before you start the mission. The new ICA drop offs, along with the new starting locations, are unlocked through mastery levels.

. You can earn other guns and items by unlocking specific challenges - not related to mastery levels. But, as with the others, they are also unavailable to you offline.

And, of course, escalations, contracts and elusive targets are not available offline.

So playing offline is like losing access to your saved files. You get the maps and the basic gear I described above - but you won't be ranked in the leaderboards and it will count for nothing.

So if you are considering buying this to play offline, DON'T. It's an enormous waste of money.

But hey: there is a possibility they change things in the near future (around January), so keep tuned to see if they do it or not. I don't know how they plan to do things, but it would not hurt to keep an eye on the gam'es evolution.

I am glad I cleared all your doubts! Cheers!
