[Kinda solved?] Is taste of your own medicine broken?

So I've followed about 3 different guides over and over again.
I've killed both targets while compromised and killed those who compromised me. Both kills were noticed.

Is the challenge bugged? What am I doing wrong?

You have to get compromised, do the kill, get uncompromised, and repeat.

I did that, I've been doing exactly that for the past 2 or 3 hours.
Someone sees me, I do the kill while they see me, then I blast them, and do that with the other target.
Also, just in case this comes up, yes this is in a contract.

If you are struggling, don't be afraid to kill any number of people you want prior to doing the actual challenge portion, just to have them out of the way. Just do them quick and quiet and hide the bodies.

The most common mistake is that you may be compromised, but you probably aren't being seen do the actual injection. You have to actually be witnessed commiting the injection then immediately kill the witness to remove your compromised status

Then at what point are you failing?

The only two parts I struggled with were

1. getting past Ezra into the basement, solved this by killing a few extra guards in that area before going down (could probably be avoided entirely by simply bringing 2 syringes and not needing the one from the basement, but I did this prior to having the 2nd one unlocked)

2. my first couple times injecting the syringes I was being spotted for the disguise, but my angle of approach didnt let me be seen doing the injections. Or if the person acting as witness has already turned to run away they may not see the injection. They need to witness the actual injection and then be killed. This is a timing issue you need to learn for yourself

Like I said, I'd need to actually see what you are doing to be more precise

I adapted from his video and the only part I changed was killing more people before doing the injections. So long as you are not hunted or compromised prior to the inejctions you can clear out any number of other people to make it easier on yourself

I don't see where I'm failing. I get compromised, make the kill, they see me making the kill and even give audio cues on it, then I kill the witnesses and become uncompromised, the challenge just doesn't seem to come up.

Okay, so I wound up making my own contract where I kill the guy patrolling near the surveillence center and also the mechanic at the surveillence center and now I have it completed.
What a pain.

You kill - crime noticed. You go status empty - meaning not searched, not compromised, nothing.
Repeat.

Note this particular thread is for Hitman (2016)

If you are trying to play the new version released in Hitman 2, that game has it's own bugs and glitches that actually make it harder than the previous game

I had no problems with the scarecrow challenges in Hitman (2016) but the Hitman 2 version I'm being compromised map wide. If your issues are with Hitman 2 I would suggest posting in that forum as the subtle differences in game behavior and glitches should be addressed separately even though Hitman 2 is supposed to be the remastered version of the same thing
