HITMAN™
Can someone please tell me why the AI sees me through walls?
It's infuriating. I can't do anything about it, they see me through walls in every mission and then they horde up on me. This is like playing left for dead.

I've got hundreds of hours in hitman games, SA all zeroes ain't a problem on any Hitman game. But this, I just lose like a noob. It's frustrating beyond belief.

Just recently I snuck up to the shed in Paris where the agency box is at, and the guard saw me through the wall. Then called his friends on me. I am crouched, I ain't running, the window isn't nearly that low to see me and there is a shelf in front of it.

What gives? Is this game forcing you to play like a shooter?

Maybe you don't notice the head turning of the NPC's?

In 300+ hours I have not experienced what you are complaining about. The NPC's look around, their visual area is baed on head movement. If you are looking at their feet (which you could do in previous hitman games) then you will not have any clue why you were seen

I haven't had any problems predicting AI reactions
Head turning is what I look for (and I was looking for this in Thief, until I found out that Dark engine only simulated field of view from NPCs stomach). But this is not it. The NPCs rotate 180 degrees without animation on the spot, like in a horror movie. It has happened to me twice so far in the hotel (I even thought it was meant to be an easter egg, since Contracts has a hotel ghost). It turns an elusive target walkthrough into a mass murderer rating mission.

It happens, unfortunately. Some walls seem to be more transparent than others for me, for example on the "locker rooms" on marrakesh or in Japan. Sad to see how the devs don't bother fixing their broken game, yet charge 60 dollars for it.
But it never happened in blood money!

You can only subdue a person when there is a big [Q] on the screen. Otherwise it will immediately turn to you in no time and become unconsciousness witness.

Thanks for insulting my intelligence, but I know this. It so happens that sometimes when you "subdue" a person, they turn 180 degrees and 47 punches them in the face. And you get a spotted warning, bye bye SA.

The same thing happens when Jordan Cross approaches a toilet. I have tried to drown him several times, but just ended up killing him by breaking his neck. Took me several reloads and I can't imagine how infuriating it must be like on PRO when the whole mission is timed, there are no saves (it took me about 5 reloads until I just gave up) and these bugs break the experience.

I love it when people assume I'm an imbecile.

The truth of the matter is it's not so bad when you can save/load, but when you have an elusive contract where everything you do is only done in one playthrough - it becomes an issue.

Then next time you subdue a person, make sure you hold down the "subdue" button before going behind an NPC.
47 will then automatically subdue them so you won't risk punching them instead.

You think I don't know that? There is that button flashing, but then the person gets punched, if it would have worked 100% of the time would I be posting here?

probably, you do like to whine a lot. and you rarely come accross as understanding the game very well.

Probably you do like to make assumptions without any knowledge and is still sore from losing an argument in Majesty forums. It's okay though, just your assumption that most hitmen games were "ported" to PC is laughable enough to understand what kind of a stuck-up "expert" you are.

You're still sore over being called a troll last april on the majesty forums?

You were bringing up personal crap then and you are doing it again here

You are a troll you dumb monkey

Your entire post history is nothing but stupid complaints, then you get upset when someone tries to help you and then you get offended when people correct you

But keep crying and pretending you are right.

What's next, are you going to go on a self righteous tirade agianst americans again? That's your usual MO

I'm tired of even responding to your ignorance. We're done here.

But go ahead, keep posting insults. It's the only thing you know how to do.

Okay, as I recall you tucked your tail between your legs and ran in that forum because you were obviously outmatched. I see I stroke a nerve there yet again. Okay, fair enough. Let's stop, mister ad hominem. I won't even reply to your insult because, well, I am not one of those people who would lose it if they stepped in a pile of dog poop resembling a human, which is what you are. It happens.

-----

I just checked - was trying to pianowire Dalia in her cabinet, the subdue button popped up with "Q to pianowire", what did 47 do? That's right, punch her in the face.

Reload yet again.

Another funny thing I've noticed. If you're pretending to surrender and a civilian sees you, they will ask you to leave, then shout that they're getting help and run away a witness. Since obviously they don't see you "surrendering" and gunpoint and that "help" is already there, pointing a gun at me.

Brilliant AI, definately the best Hitman *subdued laughter*

punch in a face problem is not really about AI its about poorly designed controls (for example setting actions on hold instea od press wasting time a lot and could be critical in some missions), where punch and subdue are bound on same button and same press type. They really should bind punch button on somethings different than action button ot separate them with different context like hold for subdue, quit press for punch

Fun fact, just because someone lists bugs insults your favourite game, doesn't mean they're a hater. Also, just because they're talking about frequent bugs doesn't mean they don't understand the game either. Grow up and and learn how accept other people's opinions.
The only whining I see in this thread is coming from you, being salty because you can't accept the fact that this game is, in fact, not free of bugs.

I especially love it when you are trying to subdue someone, but there is a an unconscious body underneath you, so you break that guy's neck instead. :rfacepalm:
