Bloodbowl 2 vs Bloodbowl Chaos Edition. Is it worth it?
Saw BB2 is on sale and wondered how it compares to BB Chaos edition which I already have. Is it worth upgrading?

Also are does anyone know if there are any plans for a BB2 Chaos edition or similar expansion? In which case I might wait for that.

There's a BB2 "Legendary Edition" coming... supposedly late this year. I'd wait for that at this point. Same deal as with BB1, they're rolling out updated "editions" that they'll sell as a separate product on steam... and with this initial BB2, they have a ton of DLC teams, all of which will be included in the BB2:LE package.

I'm willing to bet you'll see another edition after LE, too, if not a BB3 instead. I also don't think you'll see any more work being done in BB2 until LE's release, so other than playing with what's active (if you're an multiplayer guy) there's no good reason to jump in now rather than with LE.

Amazons are coming in BB2:LE, along with most of the missing rosters... and Kislev, which is just rebranded Slann (replacing frogmen with... russian acrobats? whatever floats their boat..)

Well, now it's especially worth it to wait for LE instead of buying it now.
Honestly though, didn't know they are going to add them. Stopped following this game when I heard they aren't in. Thanks for the info, may actually pick LE myself now :Kotori:

To be honest, if you pickup this right now on sale and upgrading to LE you'll probably pay the very same as buying the LE. Maybe even less, but you'll have to buy the teams already released as DLC.

If you're not a completionist and have 0 interest on the teams already released as DLC, picking this might be a good idea. But if you know you want the whole DLCs you should wait for BB2LE.

I like Blood Bowl 2, i'd consider it on promotion, but it's your call. BB1's graphics are painful to look at in 2017. And the interface was bad, even for 2008. I much prefer playing Blood Bowl 2 despite having less races at this point.

But you might be better off waiting for the legendary edition.

Getting the base game at the current sale price is a good idea if you wan't to start playing it now and getting the practice you need to be competent at the game. The base races are more than sufficient for that.

Whatever suits you best.

Spot on... 2D is a lot cleaner too and that goes a long way with a turn based strategy game where having all the pertinent information available at a glance is more important than cool animations and graphics after hte initial wow factor.

It's hardly a boolean thing. FUMBBL's graphics are circa NES days, if not before... while BB1 is hardly "old" like that... this isn't the original Castle Wolfenstein 3D or Ultima Underworld we're talking about.

While I have no issues with decent 2D, I don't think FUMBBL qualifies as that. If you do, then that's awesome... I wish I could enjoy that... just like I wish I could enjoy wieners and beans or ketchup on spaghetti noodles, but there's only so low class I can stomach... given the numbers, I don't think I'm alone on that.

Hope a modder can change the kislev models back into slann. Who doesn't want to play as acrobatic froggies?
