I DONT WANT TO SPEND MONEY
Swift F.1. 8.3, semi-regularly has to try and fight Mig 21s and their derivatives. 12k repair cost [Spaded].
Swift F.7. 8.7, only a marginal improvement over the F.1, almost always sees full uptiers against F-105Ds and the like (which is laughable when the Swift can only do aobut Mach 0.9 on a good day). 16k repair cost after the update, NOT spaded.
I do empathise with the Sabre jockeys though, they have it slightly worse (albeit they have more ammo and maneuverability, and when flown right are faster). To echo most of these comments and my own review of the game, Gaijin seems to be doing their level best to kill the game once and for all.
P.S: WHY, exactly, is the Meteor F. Mk. 3- a 7.0 jet- sat with a repair cost of 21,000SL????? In whose book is that a fair or reasonable repair cost given aircraft such as the British Phantoms are sub-10k for repairs?
They also abuse the fact that they don't have to offer refunds for "pre-orders" if they immediately grant you access to the product (even though we both know that this is not a preorder..., pretty sure they've only kept it like this since 2016 for this exact reason. Not surprising considering they also abused YTs DMCA system to illegally take down criticism). So I'd stay away from Tarkov or BSG if I wasn't 100% sure I will enjoy it. Even if it doesn't work they will still try to insist on the whole "no refunds" thing. But I guess that's one of the risks you willingly take by buying stuff outside of Steam.
