Closing/Stopping WT bug through Steam?

I don't know if its just me or is because of BattleEye. But when I go to close the game through Steam, after clicking to stop button it stays at "Stopping" and WT wont close till I close it through the game. I'm 99% sure this didn't happen till the BattleEye update. So just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

Can you please first try the options indicated in the Knowledge base and see if these fix the issue.

Please clear the cache, verify the files and remove all custom content.

Can you please run the game with an account that has Admin privileges on the machine.

Same Issue here. Didn't start until the switch to Battle Eye. I think Gaijin never updated the executable it tells Steam to close.

Before you attempt to close via steam, please close the main App WT by itself. If it gets thread locked, try the task manager kill.

The idea is to recover the OS resources allocated to the app back to Windows/Linux.

This is what happens when kernel level processes interfere with the OS, and why Microsoft wants things like EAC and BE to restricted to Win10.

I really do have to wonder about the underlying links in some people's desktop icons. The executable is now aces_BE.exe So the exe does indeed reflect the change to BattlEye! >:)

I have mentioned before that folks could maybe check where their links are actually pointing.

I'm using the button directly in my Steam Library.

ctrl+shift+esc - Details, "aces.exe" stop process tree, and start game, so on until game deigns to start, "aces.exe " it will take up more than 9000KB of memory in task manager

Yes, really.

No I have not made a report. I play video games as stress relief, a way to relax and have fun. I'm an adult with limited time.

I am not here to offer technical assistance to any game developers that want me to take my personal free time to help them solve their software problems.

Clearly this issue is effecting many users. We've had players reporting it for months. I'm quite sure the Devs can reproduce it if they try.

Besides, even if I made a full report, there's a good chance no action will be taken. I see it as a total waste of my time.

It is not a waste of time. Changelog's detail the changes to the game that have happened from the player base assisting in fixing issues.
