locked 100 fps with DLAA with Preset K but the entire image is smooth, just tweaks the sharpening a little bit for 3rd person view.
Overall im very pleased with the transformer model.
BTW. if u don't use Ray Tracing switch back to DX11 because dx12 still don't work that reliable in WT and u should consider upgrading that old 2080 anyways if u want to stay at 4k.
can you explain to us how you even managed to update and run war thunder with the latest dlss4?
because officially this dlss has not been introduced to the game and you should be unable to integrate and run it.
use DLSS Tweaks to show in the HUD which version you are using
I think DX11 of War Thunder only use at max 4 threads, hence the 100% max usage of the 2nd cpu thread (rendering scene and calculating physic in 1 thread ?)
DX12 extremely smooth, thread usage is spread out. It seem to have a big higher input latency. Also, game just bugged out after 10-20 matches (1 fps, vram leak ?) when using any upscaler, but I don't even use upscaler now
ok, thanks, thats very intresting. i suspected this would work with the nvidia app but there are also other workarounds on the web with nvprofileinspector or dlsswapper. from previous experiences though war thunder would simply refuse to accept different dlss versions that were disallowed.
dx12 is definitely better in terms of utilization but yes theres a huge input lag latency added. this happpens in many other games as well. dx12 by now is simply not developed further advanced enough compared to dx11 which is usually very polished, fast and stable but lacks theoretical performance improvement from dx12 components.
yes, thats true. but since there were issues with this driver that soft-bricked rtx5090 at installation i havent tried it yet. theres a hotfix driver already available, too. i wanted to make a clean minimal installation with nvcleanstall anyway - without the nvidia app - since they have updated and added support for the latest drivers but the easy swapping of dlss makes it very attractive now.
