if your game freezes when using it then you simply do not have a good enough graphics card to use it.
you can try lowering other graphics settings but the only real solution is to open your wallet and buy a new graphics card
Playing at 4k or something?
RTX 5090, for example?
4x ssaa on a 1080p screen is making your gpu render at 8k, trying to do that at 120fps is absolutely going to give your graphics card a tough time.
I'm not surprised, for some reason War Thunder is the only game where my GPU has trouble and the temperature rises above 65 °C. Although this doesn't happen even when playing Alan Wake 2
I lost a few IQ points reading that😵💫
You don't need that. Personally I play with an RTX 4090 and SSAA doesn't freeze my game. I've also used SSAA with an RTX 4080 Super and RTX 3070 and all was peachy.
I realize that the 5090 was said in terms of a joke, because in the recommended requirements for the game, the gtx 1060 is specified, and yet I have problems with the 4060, which has 300-400 fps without SSAA and 120+ with SSAA.
Well I'm almost resigned to the idea that the game in native FSR 3.1 looks +- not bad, really better than DLSS,TAA,TSR
But still the game looks best with SSAA and FXAA HQ
