Game crashes since yesterday 15.02.25
Hi y'all,

before the game crashes it freezes and sometimes it even starts playing again somewhat. Only with glitches like pink textures appearing / stoboscobing and white "ghost-bushes" randomly appearing and beeing gone the next frame.

What changed?

Until yesterday i the only thing that changed, is that i started playing ground again instead of aviation.

As of today:
- I updated the drivers
- I validated the game files
- I dialed back a few settings since everything was kinda on max (4080 Super)

It did not work.

Also i tried shutting off my second screen (Watching amazon prime). This didn't help as well.

Yesterday the restarts helped. Today they don't.

Maybe a background prgramm like citrix workspace is causing the issue?

I didn't try aviation since, because my time is sadly limited. ...


The rose textures do not appear on screenshots which leads me to think that it's the gpu. But since the GPU is kinda new and has been treated well, i hope it's not the gpu....

Anyone knows how to read out the crashfile? Because I didn't capture the error code sadly.

The "Ghost bushes" can be seen on my steam page

EDIT: On further analysis the ghost bush is also pink bevor it fully appears...

EDIT2: When i restart the game to join the fight again, i need to restart the game AGAIN because for some reason the anticheat didn't boot with the startup after the crash or whatever. ....

Can you please first try the options below and see if these fix the issue.

Please update Windows as indicated by both AMD and NVIDIA FIRST. As indicated at their sites - then:

Please clear the cache, verify the files and remove all custom content.

If this does not correct the issue, please do the following.

Can you please remove the current graphics driver(s) using DDU (or similar). https://www.wagnardsoft.com/

Please ensure that you follow the instructions and use Safe Mode.

Then re-install/install the latest driver(s) and re-test.

In order to investigate issues thoroughly we need ALL the files asked for.
We need the game version, Screenshots of any UI error messages, Replay's(both client and server - if available), clog, Problem Report Files(.dmp), Crash ID and Dxdiag.

You have to press "Send and Restart" button to send automatic report. The game will generate DMP and ZIP files, and you'll see Crash ID.

If no Error messages are generated please follow the steps indicated here > https://support.gaijin.net/hc/en-us/articles/20621946908690-Taking-necessary-steps-and-collecting-information-in-case-of-crashes-without-error-messages

We also need the steps to reproduce the issue.

If the above does not correct the issue, then please report it to the Technical Forum here https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder Select your Operating system etc. Or you can report it from the game under the Community tab in the hangar.

It works much better and is playable. EXCEPT: New Error corde:

But it only crashed once since a few hours and I had three huge stutters (But the Game didn't crash)

I also activated the FPS count. Before the game freezes the fps count drops to around 50 from 165 fps.
What differs a mere freeze from a crash, i cannot tell.

What's the next step, boss?

Thank you for the quick response. I haven't had a windows update in the timeframe above.

The Problem seems to be with the latest hotfix.
It is not wide spread then. We have the issue with Windows 11 impacting many. But Win 10 are not impacted. My machine is completely stable. I cannot remember the last time I had a crash. We will need the files to look into it.
