War thunder crashing my router on launch

Hi guys, I know i'll be bashed for 'posting in the wrong sub forum', however, my post got no traction in there so I'm hoping someone here might have some insight!

500+ hours in War Thunder without issue/crashing.

Today the game has decided its going to crash my Ethernet connection every time i try to launch it, this ends with me flushing my DNS and resetting my router/modem..

After some googling this is a known issue with Packet requests on WT, however, there aren't really any concrete workarounds.

Has anyone experienced this and know how to fix it?

I would imagine that there is something wrong with your router. It is simply not possible for an application to 'crash' a router/modem. Applications 'crash' not hardware. Maybe this is the wrong term that you are using.

Applications most certainly can overload a LAN port. While it's highly unlikely that is occurring in this instance, it's not impossible.

Best option is to switch ports on the Router and see what happens. Update your router firmware. WireShark the port, see what WT is up to.
