Anti-Cheat causing PC freezes and crashes?

Does anyone think the anti-cheat feature is causing game problems?
Been experiencing in-game freezes, lags, and even crashes lately. Windows event viewer shows numerous Kernel-event tracing errors that say "Session "dc3a3596-71e1-45a3-b2ea-39ad5322fe51" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022".
Long story short found no fixes, until I decided to start game without the anti-cheat feature. And so far Windows event viewer has not shown any errors.

From my point of you i think devs need to take a look at easy anti cheat as it is a wide a issue, some people might not have even noticed it. My pc specs in case it helps are:

GPU: RTX 4070 Ti
MOBO: Crosshair VIII Dark Hero

You need to report it. While some have an issue without the files etc, it will never be solved. Because we DO NOT have this issue with EAC. It runs fine on my machine. There are also 122K players playing at this time without issue as well!

Problem with the freezes and lags are that they do no crash the game. Just make the game unplayable. Only rarely the game crashes to windows and than a report is sent. In my memory it only happened once or twice.

Even before I started this thread I have already googled the internet regarding this problem. There are already quite a bit of info out there (others had faced this error and problem even years ago) and I have already done all the steps you mentioned short of reinstalling windows.

This problem came up about 2 months ago. Before I have no issue playing the game (for years) with EAC default on. Which is why I initially thought it is a hardware issue. Guess I will just be one of the 122k players but with EAC switched off.
It has been exactly a week and I have not encountered the problem or error messages since.

Navigate to your Steam installation root folder and configure Steam.exe to Run as Administrator. (Right click on file, Properties > Compatibility > “Run this program as an adminstrator” > Apply > OK).
Navigate to …\steamapps\common\War Thunder and configure War Thunder.exe to Run as Administrator. (Same steps)
Navigate to …\steamapps\common\War Thunder\Win64 and configure aces.exe to Run as Administrator. (Same steps)
Navigate to …\steamapps\common\War Thunder\EasyAntiCheat and configure EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe to Run as Administrator. (Same steps)
This fixed it for me. Hope it works for you

Played few hours and errors did not appear. Shall monitor for a few days.

What is the possible explanation behind this simple fix?

Hi, I was seeing this event log when playing The finals (which uses easy anti cheat). The error would appear once every 1-5 minutes. I set Steam to run as administrator and it has stopped the error appearing (Tested one hour). Thank you.

I think its a clash between windows and eac. Eac tries to look for something in system and windows blocks it because it doesnt have the permission to do. I had the error every minute,between the time i opened the game and closed it. I might be wrong tho. Glad it fixed your problem.

Same answer. I am running EAC with Windows with no issues. Thus we need to look at your files to see why you have an issue.

Buddy, helped for a day, and today it's crashing again. It can just close, or with an error.

For me I have been monitoring since Dec 27, running game as per administrator and with EAC enabled. So far game stable, and event viewer free of earlier reported errors.
There was once or twice in-game it froze and stuttered for split seconds. But nothing like the earlier freezes, lags.
Have u tried playing with EAC disabled?
