How do I uninstall War Thunder?
I haven't played in years and I need the storage space, where do I find the game files? I already told steam to uninstall it, and now I've read up on how that doesn't actually uninstall the game files but I can't find an actual guide.

If you told Steam to uninstall, then the game files got uninstalled.

What you read about not uninstalled game files is wrong.
Some gasoline on the drive ⛽ + 🧨

If it was wrong, I assume that I'd have got back the 46gb steam said War Thunder was using. I didn't.

check C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps
and the 'my games' folder in your documents

If you´ve already uninstalled the game, just delete the war thunder content

Just search your drives for war thunder, aces.exe, and gaijin.
Delete the root folder of everything that returns.

Found some files in those places, so thanks. But nothing adding up to more than a few hundred kb in either location.

How do I search my drives? The address bar in file explorer and the windows search bar both just go to google when I try to search those terms.

Open file explorer and instead of typing in the address bar, type in the search field.
"search this pc"

Doing that now. It's taking awhile, it's been nearly done searching for war thunder for like ten minutes now.

I don't even know if it's still doing anything. Only that it says it is.
DaciaSaoirse Jan 8, 2023 @ 4:08pm
Ah! Wait. Just after I posted that, it finally turned up its first result.
DaciaSaoirse Jan 8, 2023 @ 4:10pm
And... All 17 results can't be deleted because they're no longer located where it found them.
DaciaSaoirse Jan 8, 2023 @ 4:19pm
aces.exe gave no results at all
DaciaSaoirse Jan 8, 2023 @ 4:24pm
No results for gaijin either
DaciaSaoirse Jan 8, 2023 @ 4:33pm
Okay, this time the war thunder search didn't find anything either.
