In order to write on this forum, you will need to play 3 battles in-game.
After that you will be transferred to the group that has permission to write on this forum.
Kind regards, administration. "
You've got to be kidding me.
"Long shot, but anyone else play in VR and have a solution to:
-Sickening graphical "wobble" on anything around a plane's prop (Was absolutely fine before it appeared 2 updates ago) I've played around with lowering/disabling various graphical settings to zero affect. Graphical drivers are updated.
-"Track Target" key does nothing (only since this recent update). Should centre camera on target, but now does sweet F.A. (Which is now a huge disadvantage in VR as this was the only way to look directly behind yourself, beyond letting go of your controls and spinning around in your seat...)
-Game launching in ♥♥♥♥♥♥ theatre mode instead of true VR. (only since this update too) Causes the HUD to be incredibly cramped, and using scope/commander view in ground vehicles looks 2D instead of 3D now Also forces the VR chaperone bounds into view, which was never a thing before."
But your thread here at least covers the horrendous theatre mode issue. (Have you encountered my other two points at all?) So I'll just cross my fingers for a resolution of some kind sometime soon.
This is both with and without SteamVR running.
Even if it's "reported solved by most folks", it clearly isn't working as intended still . Hopefully Gaijin can have another look soon and maybe fix it properly (instead of -poke poke- "yeah that's good enough for most ppl. that'll do") or even just revert it to the version that worked.
Is that your in game nick for WT that you are using here. That has to be an error if you are using the links I gave you. As the Technical threads do not have that limitation.

KnightoftheAbyss, I am experiencing the same issues as Hyper is. I have followed your recommended steps on the forum post and also have had no luck in any way.
As previously stated, it still just opens in theatre mode which is, I suppose, _technically_ playable, but FAR less user friendly than it should be.
I assume it's a quirk of theatre mode, but it also seems to want/think that a controller is plugged in, which seemingly hinders many mouse+keyboard controls in-game as well as in the menus.
Is there any serious chance that this will be looked into more deeply? Rather than considering it as in perfect working order, with some unlucky minority including Hyperlynx and myself, left basically unable to play, and scratching around for bodge fixes and messing around inside the game directory...
My hardware is good. My drivers are kept updated.
It USED to be a JOY to play this in VR. Then update by update, little visual glitches crept in, but at least the VR itself and the controls were unaffected... But now this.
You said in the forum post that the "War Thunder does not support VR... etc" message confused you as to why it would appear, as obviously, War Thunder _does_ support it.
May I suggest that is the thing that needs to be investigated?
Hyperlynx is not alone in being presented with that message, and it is definitely new since the last major update.
Sorry for the long post... I just really think this needs to be taken seriously and resolved as swiftly as possible.
Nope. Check in that thread for my progress.
